Bio

Matt Pace is a composer, songwriter, musician, and producer from Las Vegas, Nevada. His mom started teaching him piano when he was 4, and unlike most of his five siblings, he actually enjoyed it. This led to his discovery of the trumpet, guitar, writing songs, and a general love and appreciation for music.

He joined a ska band in high school, where he learned that he had a knack for writing harmonies. He studied jazz at UNLV, where he got to play trumpet with The Manhattan Transfer, Forbidden Broadway, Don Menza, Chris Potter, and Bobby Shew.

He continued his studies at BYU, where he developed his songwriting abilities, and continued performing in groups. After graduation, he gained experience producing tracks for musicals and arranging music for orchestras, writing songs all the while, including an original musical.

He currently writes and produces educational songs for kids on his YouTube channel, Hopscotch, and makes music videos with his band, The Hoover Jam.

His studio is located in Provo, Utah, where he lives with his wife and two kids.
